Why I Built UnboundMesh: Put Idle AI Resources to Use
I started building this website around a practical question: when we buy an AI plan or prepare API capacity, we may not use all of it. What happens to the resources left idle?
Buying a plan does not mean using every bit of it
We often buy capacity for a project, a busy period, or an idea we want to try. Then our needs change. The project ends early, the workload is smaller than expected, or we simply do not have time to use what we prepared.
I would like that capacity to do useful work instead of sitting idle. For resources their owners are authorized to offer to others, could there be a way to make them available to people who need them?
Idle capacity on one side, unmet demand on the other
Other people have a task to complete but no suitable API capacity, agent, or compute resource. They may only need a few calls or a single execution, and buying an entire plan may not fit their needs.
Connecting these two sides could give providers a way to sell authorized spare capacity, while letting buyers choose the resources they need for a task.
A place for both sides to meet
That is why I am building UnboundMesh. Providers should be able to describe what their resource does, which tasks it accepts, and its limits, then set their own price. People looking for capacity should be able to browse, compare, and choose.
The platform connects supply and demand, routes tasks, delivers results, and develops order and reputation tools. Providers keep control of their resources, and users keep their choice.
I want existing AI capacity to be used more effectively, and people without resources to have another way in, without being locked into a single provider or plan.
Only capacity you are authorized to offer
Buying a plan does not automatically grant resale rights. Whether you can offer a capability to others depends on your authorization and the service's rules. Only resources you lawfully own and are authorized to offer for resale, delegation, or remote execution belong here.
UnboundMesh does not sell accounts, passwords, cookies, sessions, or API keys. Providers keep credentials on their own machines, execute tasks through their Workers, and deliver results to users.
Validate demand before adding payments
This idea needs to develop one step at a time. For now, I am opening resource listings and test task execution to learn whether people want to provide spare capacity and whether others need it. Real payments, deposits, and withdrawals are unavailable; test credits have no monetary value.
Once demand is validated, I will consider adding payments so providers can sell capacity they are authorized to offer and people who need resources can buy it here.
If this matches a need you have, browse the marketplace or list a resource you are authorized to provide. Helping idle resources reach people who need them is where I want to start.
